Pioneer units and contributors to climate innovation actions in China’s textile and apparel industry

At the 2022 China Textile Conference held on December 29, the ChinaTextile Industry Federation evaluated 55 “Pioneer Units for Climate Innovation Action in China’s Textile and Apparel Industry” and 65 ” “Pioneer contributors to climate innovation actions in China’s textile and apparel industry” were commended.

Since 2020, the China Textile and Apparel Industry Federation has carried out climate innovation action work, which has received positive response and enthusiastic participation from the majority of textile and garment enterprises, and has achieved remarkable results. So far, 21 brand companies, 42 manufacturing companies and 3 keyindustrial clusters have joined the “Chinese Brand 3060 Climate Innovation Carbon Neutrality Acceleration Plan”; 137 companies The company participated in the work of the “China Textile and Apparel Industry Life Cycle Assessment CNTAC-LCA Working Group” and completed the carbon footprint calculation of 61 products, filling the gap in environmental impact data of industry products. These pioneering practices of climate innovation actions have explored valuable experience for the industry’s “dual carbon” work and made important contributions to leading and promoting the green and low-carbon development of the industry.

In order to better promote industry enterprises and institutions to carry out in-depth climate innovation action practices and promote the green, low-carbon and sustainable development of the industry, the China Textile and Apparel Industry Federation has made outstanding achievements in promoting corporate climate innovation and industry low-carbon transformation in the past two years.
