Pakistan’s domestic cotton yarn plummets, but international demand is good

According to statistics, the price of C20S in the Faisalbad yarn market in Pakistan fell by 27 rupees per maund last week, a decrease of 2.14%. It is expected that yarn prices will continue to fall in the next few days and transactions will remain sluggish. In contrast, international demand is relatively good and orders are relatively active. It is understood that China has imported a large amount of siro spinning yarn in the past few days, and the export price of Pakistani cotton yarn has been very strong.

International PTA prices continued to rise last week, and domestic polyester staple fiber prices in Pakistan remained unchanged. Among them, the price of 1.4D polyester staple fiber remained at 128 rupees/kg, and the import price from China rose to 1.09 US dollars/kg. It is expected that in the next period of time , Pakistan’s domestic polyester staple fiber prices may begin to rise. Margins of blended yarn in Pakistan have declined due to rising raw material costs.

Last week, the price of viscose fiber in Pakistan remained unchanged at 245 rupees/kg, while imports from China rose rapidly to US$2.10/kg. Prices of PC yarn and PV yarn in Pakistan remained unchanged last week due to stable prices of polyester staple fiber and viscose fiber.
