China’s procurement slightly reduced, Pakistan’s cotton yarn export price unchanged
In the past week, purchases by downstream companies have begun to increase, market participants have begun to adapt to the new sales tax system, spot transaction volume has increased significantly, and the disruption of India-Pakistan trade has supported the price of high-count yarn. Cotton yarn prices began to stabilize.
Pakistan cotton prices are stable and have not been affected by further declines in international cotton prices. In the next period of time, as new cotton gradually comes on the market and the processing volume of ginning mills increases, the purchasing demand of Pakistani yarn mills will begin to be released. With restrictions on Indian cotton imports, Pakistani cotton prices are expected to rise. Although Chinese buyers have slightly reduced their purchases after the RMB exchange rate plummeted, the export price of Pakistani cotton yarn has not changed.
Pakistan polyester staple fiber prices continued to fall, with 1.4D polyester staple fiber falling 1.1% to 180 rupees/kg, a one-year low. The price of polyester staple fiber may continue to decline in the future due to the decline in the price of imported polyester staple fiber and the depreciation of the RMB.
