Pakistan exports 10,000 tons of cotton yarn
Pakistan’s textile and apparel exports in September reached US$1.527 billion, a month-on-month decrease of 3.05%, and a year-on-year increase of 2.67%; exports of cotton yarn were 21,500 tons, a month-on-month decrease of 6.82%, a year-on-year decrease of 25.61%; exports Cotton cloth was 34 million square meters, an increase of 11.15% month-on-month and a year-on-year decrease of 26.79%.
In the 2022/23 fiscal year (July-September 2022), Pakistan’s exports of textiles and clothing reached US$4.583 billion, a year-on-year increase of 3.67%; its exports of cotton yarn were 62,800 tons, a year-on-year increase of 3.67%. A decrease of 30.68%; the export of cotton cloth was 93 million square meters, a year-on-year decrease of 24.44%.
