The United States issues a recall on Chinese-made children’s pajamas and headbands
On February 16, 2023, the US CPSC announced a recall of Chinese-made children’s pajamas and headbands.
The recalled products are fleece zippered children’s pajamas and milky white angel wing headbands made of 100% polyester fiber. Pajamas with a hood, 2 functional front pockets, and ribbed cuffs at the wrists and ankles. The products are sold in black bear, red elk, red and black buffalo plaid patterns, and are sold in sizes 2-14 years old. The neck tag of the pajamas reads “LittleBlueHouse,” the size and country of origin. The recalled pajamas can be identified by tracking numbers 1014970, 1015226, 1016019, 1016490, 1018791 or 1018936. The tracking number is located on the inside left seam label which reads “PAL501” followed by the tracking number. Cream Angel Wings Headband Sold in one size, the headband is pink with 2 silver angel wings.
The pajamas do not meet the flammability standards for children’s pajamas, posing a risk of burns to children; the headbands contain lead in excess of the federal lead ban, and if the lead is ingested by young children Ingestion poses a risk of poisoning and may cause adverse health problems.
The recalled products were sold in the United States from January 2019 to September 2022, of which about 7,640 pajamas were sold and about 300 headbands were sold. pieces, priced at approximately US$9-46.
So far, no accidents or casualties have been reported.
