The following are the main changes in HiggFEM4.0:
Phasing out coal and other fossil fuels, using Renewable energy and increasing science-based reduction targets.
Increase wastewater sludge treatment management and align with the specifications of the Zero Hazardous Substances Discharge Organization.
Added carbon emission calculation questions for Category 1 and Category 2.
Strengthen the classification of refrigerants to accurately calculate leaked carbon emissions.
Added new issues on groundwater management and use, including consumption tracking and legal groundwater extraction regulations.
If the same equipment is used to produce fabrics and finished products, energy and water use must be recorded and counted separately.
