Pakistan exports 10,000 tons of cotton yarn
In March, Pakistan exported textiles and clothing to US$1.258 billion, an increase of 6.57% from the previous month, and a decrease of 22.58% from the same period last year; exports of cotton yarn were 23,500 tons, an increase of 24.34% from the previous month, and an increase of 2.96% from the same period last year; exports Cotton cloth was 30 million tons, an increase of 4.49% month-on-month and a year-on-year decrease of 9.45%.
In the 2022/23 fiscal year (July 2022-March 2022), Pakistan’s exports of textiles and clothing reached US$12.477 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 12.34%; exports of cotton yarn were 172,300 US dollars tons, a year-on-year decrease of 33.05%; exports of cotton cloth were 257 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 21.73%.
