Türkiye makes final anti-circumvention ruling on Chinese synthetic long fiber fabrics
On June 1, 2023, the Turkish Ministry of Trade issued Announcement No. 2023/20, making a final anti-circumvention ruling on synthetic long fiber fabrics originating in China, ruling that they originate in China’s products involved in the case were imported to Turkey via North Macedonia and Bosnia and Herzegovina to avoid anti-dumping duties. Therefore, it was decided to impose anti-dumping duties on the landed price (CIF) of the products involved in North Macedonia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, as follows: The unit weight imported from Bosnia and Herzegovina is less than Synthetic long fiber fabrics with unit weight equal to 110 g/m2 are 0-42.44%, synthetic long fiber fabrics with unit weight greater than 110 g/m2 are 0-21.13%, synthetic long fiber fabrics with unit weight less than or equal to 110 g/m2 imported from North Macedonia are Fiber fabrics are 42.44%, and synthetic long fiber fabrics with a unit weight greater than 110 grams/square meter are 21.13%. The Turkish tax number of the product involved is 54.07.
On November 1, 2000, Turkey launched an anti-dumping investigation into synthetic long fiber fabrics from China, South Korea, Malaysia, Thailand, and Taiwan. On February 13, 2002, Turkey began to impose anti-dumping duties on synthetic long fiber fabrics from the above countries/regions (see Announcement No. 2002/2). Since then, Turkey has conducted three sunset reviews, respectively on August 1, 2008, January 21, 2015, and January 28, 2021 (see Announcement No. 2021/3), and made affirmative final rulings three times.
