According to the latest statistics, Vietnam’s textile and apparel exports reached US$2.916 billion in May 2023, an increase of 14.8% month-on-month and a year-on-year decrease of 8.02%; exports of yarn were 160,300 tons, an increase month-on-month. 11.2%, a year-on-year increase of 17.5%; imported yarn was 89,400 tons, a month-on-month increase of 6%, a year-on-year decrease of 12.62%; imported fabrics were US$1.196 billion, a month-on-month increase of 3.98%, a year-on-year decrease of 24.99%.
From January to May 2023, Vietnam’s textile and clothing exports reached 12.628 billion U.S. dollars, a year-on-year decrease of 15.84%; the exported yarn was 652,400 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 9.84%; the imported yarn The number of fabrics imported was 414,500 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 10.01%; the imported fabrics were US$5.333 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 19.74%.
