Gu Ping talks about the 2020 Textile Machinery Joint Exhibition: Helping companies seize opportunities in the changing situation
The 2020 China International Textile Machinery Exhibition and ITMA Asia Exhibition (hereinafter referred to as the “2020 Textile Machinery Joint Exhibition”) will be held from June 12, 2021~ It will be held on June 16 at the National Convention and Exhibition Center (Shanghai). What kind of promotion value will this exhibition have for my country’s textile industry and textile machinery industry, which are undergoing great changes? A reporter from China Textile News interviewed Gu Ping, president of the China Textile Machinery Association.
A rare opportunity to get together is worth looking forward to
Reporter: As we all know, due to the impact of the new coronavirus epidemic, the 2020 Textile Machinery Joint Exhibition has been postponed for 8 months. At present, the epidemic situation in some parts of the world is still severe, and international personnel exchanges are still limited. However, the organizers are confident that this exhibition will be successfully held. Where does your confidence in this exhibition come from?
Gu Ping: Due to the impact of the epidemic, the 2020 Textile Machinery Joint Exhibition has been postponed to June 2021. Although the exhibition organizers and industry companies have faced various difficulties in the past year or so, they have not been able to shake our confidence in this “gathering”, which is destined to be an unusual and comprehensively focused industry exhibition event. .
First of all, due to China’s good epidemic prevention and control, strong economic development flexibility and strong domestic economic recovery, it is second to none in the world. In the context of the epidemic, China’s advantages in a complete textile industry chain and strong rapid response capabilities of textile companies have become more prominent. China’s textile industry has become more important in the world and its competitiveness has been further enhanced. Not only does the total textile fiber processing account for more than 50% of the world’s total fiber processing, and chemical fiber output accounts for more than 70% of the world’s total, China’s textile and apparel trade ranks first in the world, and its market scope radiates to China and overseas countries. In the first quarter of this year, my country’s textile and apparel exports performed solidly overall, with exports growing by 43.7% year-on-year, and export volume exceeding the same period in 2019, with an average growth of 8.7% over the two years. As an important textile machinery exhibition based on the Chinese market and radiating to overseas markets such as Asia, the 2020 Textile Machinery Joint Exhibition still receives special attention and attention from domestic and foreign textile machinery companies.
Secondly, this year is the first year of the “14th Five-Year Plan”. During the “13th Five-Year Plan“, the technological development achievements of China’s textile machinery industry and the most advanced foreign technologies have been achieved. =”#FF8040”>New products will be displayed intensively at this exhibition.
After the development of the “Thirteenth Five-Year Plan”, domestic textile machinery equipment technology has made significant progress. In the past five years, 27 companies have been recognized by the China Textile Machinery Association as product research and development centers for the Chinese textile machinery industry. During the same period, more than 100 projects have passed the scientific and technological achievements appraisal of China Textile Federation, and the appraisal results of most of these projects are at the internationally advanced or even advanced level. leading level. From the key technology and application of industrialization of 1,000-ton dry-jet wet-spun high-strength/medium-mold carbon fiber that won the first prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, to the annual production capacity of a single kettle reaching 15,000 tons The industrial application of new solvent-based cellulose fiber complete sets of equipment, from the world’s first online intelligent detection system for chemical fiber package appearance, cotton spinning carding and combining machines, to high-performance special weaving equipment that fills the gap at home and abroad, as well as seven industry-promoted Intelligent manufacturing demonstration line construction, etc., in order to meet the needs of domestic high-performance fiber development, energy-saving environmental protection production of textile enterprises, IntelligenceIn the process of improving demand in other aspects, China’s textile machinery industry has made significant technological progress.
As a rare gathering opportunity for the industry that has been waiting for three years, at this joint textile machinery exhibition, many industry-representative equipment technologies will release new research progress. At the same time, the product technologies that have attracted much attention from the industry in ITMA2019 will also present new application results to everyone.
Use independent innovation as the driving force to create new advantages
Reporter: What do you think is the main development direction of my country’s textile machinery industry during the “14th Five-Year Plan”?
Gu Ping: The development of the textile machinery industry during the “14th Five-Year Plan” period mainly includes several aspects: First, new business formats and new models in the industry. Under the technological development of the Internet of Things, big data and artificial intelligence, and the strong guidance of the textile demand side, the textile machinery industry will see the phenomenon of digital enterprises crushing industrial era enterprises. The new ecosystem of industrial chain enterprises will also inject strong development momentum into the industry’s high quality and high-end development.
Second, the priority development direction of the textile technology and equipment industry is clear. In December 2020, the Chinese Academy of Engineering released the “Green Paper on Technological Innovation in Key Areas of China’s Manufacturing Industry – Technology Roadmap (2019)”. It is expected that by 2025, textile technology and The five priority development directions including equipment will collectively enter the world’s leading industries and become a leader in technological innovation.
Third, promote intelligent manufacturing. Intelligent production equipment plays an irreplaceable role in improving production accuracy and product quality, as well as improving production efficiency and management levels. While textile machinery equipment is becoming continuous, automated, intelligent and networked, my country’s textile machinery enterprises must speed up the implementation of intelligent manufacturing and improve their own manufacturing levels and management as soon as possible.level and intelligence level.
Fourth, innovate and develop to break through the key technologies and core points of advanced equipment. At present, many key components, devices and links still rely on imports, and there is still a lot of room for improvement in product quality and production technology. This requires us to: first, overcome technical problems in a down-to-earth manner, make up for shortcomings and forge strong areas; second, accelerate the in-depth integration of industry, academia and research, combine scientific and technological achievements with market demand, and create an independent innovation ecosystem; third, improve innovation strategies Deploy and make long-term plans for independent industrial innovation.
The “14th Five-Year Plan” has begun, and “dual circulation” is becoming a strategic choice and new feature for industry enterprises to layout the market. The dual cycle with domestic demand as the main body is the inevitable way out in the current environment, and it is also the main direction for the economy to seek incremental growth. Currently, the successive implementation of trade regionalization agreements represented by the RCEP trade agreement has opened up new space for the development of international markets; the ultra-large domestic market and escalating consumer demand are being transformed into huge space for industry development. From deeply exploring the domestic demand market to expanding new opportunities under the “Belt and Road Initiative“, the textile machinery industry and even the textile industry will create new advantages driven by independent innovation in the new development pattern. , and reach a new level.
Advanced technology and equipment support industrial transformation
Reporter: The advent of the new era of 5G and artificial vision has also caused my country’s textile industry and textile machinery industry to face major changes. What role do you think this exhibition can play in promoting the transformation and upgrading of the industry?
Gu Ping: At present, the special global economic and political environment, as well as the development status of China’s textile industry itself, have a profound impact on the future development direction and path of the industry. China’s textile industry will promote the “big and strong” development of the industry in a planned and step-by-step manner through priority development areas and related shortcomings in technology research.
Equipment technology has always been an important support for the development of the textile industry. Today, domestic textile machinery, which accounts for more than 70% of the domestic market, has won an increasingly higher market position with its continuously improving innovation and service capabilities. In today’s changing situation of “consumer sovereignty” and industrial Internet solutions, innovating around the market and demand has become the basic concept of textile machinery companies. Chinese textile machinery companies are becoming increasingly capable of capturing and meeting market demand, and these , are intuitively reflected in the digital innovation of single machines or complete sets of textile machinery equipment technology and the application of overall solutions for the industrial chain in different fields.
In recent years, the digital economy has triggered profound changes in the global manufacturing industry, and the epidemic has accelerated the pace of digitalization in all walks of life. The textile industry has actually taken the lead in terms of digitization and intelligence, especially in terms of the intelligence of textile machinery. In the past two years, the development results have been very significant. From the past two joint textile machinery exhibitions, we can see that various new technologies and new applications are emerging one after another, playing a very active role in promoting the upgrading and structural adjustment of the textile industry. At this joint textile machinery exhibition, new ideas for intelligent workshop construction and new industrial applications incorporating 5G+artificial intelligence will be on display.
In addition, the national “carbon neutrality” goal in 2035 proposes “widespread formation of green production and lifestyle, with carbon emissions stabilizing and declining after peaking”, which puts forward higher requirements for industry development. The green transformation of the industry has become a pressing need. We must vigorously promote the development and application of energy-saving and consumption-reducing processing technologies and equipment, and accelerate the feasibility study and implementation of zero emissions in all aspects of the textile industry. At this exhibition, a number of new technologies and equipment for energy saving and emission reduction will also be unveiled. For example, the Y9000 double-layer hot air stenter setting machine independently developed by Yuanxin Industrial Co., Ltd. can achieve 40% energy saving compared with conventional products, can significantly reduce the floor space, and also has very obvious advantages in saving labor and improving processing quality. The advantages.
The independent innovation and development of the textile industry has reached a new height. In order to encourage cooperation between industry, academia and research and industrialize scientific research results, this exhibition will continue to open a “Research and Innovation Zone”, which will include Donghua University, Qingdao University, Wuhan Textile University, Xi’an Engineering University, Tianjin University of Technology, Zhejiang University of Science and Technology and other institutions are participating. The display of many new technological achievements will enhance the innovative service capabilities of equipment and process technology to a greater extent, and promote the cooperation between industry, academia and research in the industry. The transformation of scientific and technological achievements, exchanges, cooperation and cross-border integration, and their application in new scenarios.
