Shengze found out that 7 textile companies violated environmental laws and ordered them to stop production

In recent days, in response to the rectification requirements put forward by the main leaders of the Wujiang District Party Committee, Wujiang High-tech Zone (Shengze Town) acted quickly and struck hard to speed up the implementation of responsibilities and rectification of problems, and further promoted the improvement of water environment management. The town’s Comprehensive Law Enforcement Bureau continues to maintain a high-pressure posture, mobilize professional law enforcement forces, and severely crack down on various types of illegal emissions, excessive sewage discharge, and other environmental violations.

From 19:00 on the evening of June 8 to 2:00 on the morning of June 9, the Town Comprehensive Law Enforcement Bureau organized a capable law enforcement force, divided into five groups, to carry out special law enforcement for comprehensive water environment improvement, and verified that 7 companies had environmental violations. The company was ordered to stop production on site and a case has been filed for administrative penalties.

The production wastewater collection tank and the sewage pipe leading to the factory sewage tank were put into production before they were completed. There are traces of production wastewater deposition on the muddy ground on the south side of the workshop. Samples have been taken on site and a case is planned to be filed for punishment.

Suzhou Oujian Textile Co., Ltd. washing project

There are holes in the ground below the two washing machines. The wastewater flows into the holes and then flows to the north side to the sewer outside the workshop. It flows out of the factory through the sewer and then enters the municipal pipe network. Samples have been taken on site and a case is planned to be filed for punishment.

Water-jet weaving project of Wujiang Yayi Jet Weaving Co., Ltd.

Some spray-weaving wastewater seeped into the rainwater pipe at the connection between the sewage ditch and the sewage corrugated pipe in the workshop. After flowing into the rainwater collection pool outside the factory gate through the rainwater pipe, it flowed along the rainwater pipe into the river on the east side of the factory. Samples have been taken on site and are planned to be collected. File a case for punishment.

Suzhou Shan Boxin Textile Finishing Co., Ltd. washing project

The production wastewater was discharged into the workshop sink and then into the factory sewer through an iron pipe. Samples have been taken on site and a case is planned to be filed for punishment.

Wujiang Ranyu Textile Co., Ltd. washing project

There are no environmental protection procedures, no supporting wastewater treatment facilities, and no takeover agreement has been signed with the sewage treatment plant. The generated cleaning wastewater was taken over and disposed of privately. Samples have been taken on site and a case is planned to be filed for punishment.

Suzhou Xiaojie Textile Co., Ltd. washing project

There are no environmental protection procedures and no supporting wastewater treatment facilities. The production wastewater flows to the ground and flows into the north rainwater pipe through the opening of the cofferdam. Samples have been taken on site and a case is planned to be filed for punishment.

Water-jet weaving project of Huiyu Jet Weaving (Suzhou) Co., Ltd.

The sewage pipe on the west side outside Workshop No. 10 cracked, and the spray weaving wastewater flowed through the crack to the ditch on the ground, and then flowed into the river on the west side of the factory through the ditch. Samples have been taken on site and a case is planned to be filed for punishment.

According to statistics, since June 1, the town’s Comprehensive Law Enforcement Bureau has dispatched a total of 856 law enforcement officers, inspected 373 water-related enterprises, and collected 66 bottles of water samples.

Up to now, 263 of the 327 companies that have been inspected have implemented the production suspension measures in place, 64 have not implemented them in place, and 27 companies have exceeded the registration status to varying degrees. For 64 companies that have not implemented shutdown restrictions in place, the town’s Comprehensive Law Enforcement Bureau has ordered the entire factory to suspend production for seven days; for 27 companies with equipment exceeding the standard, it has been ordered to stop production and dismantle the excessive equipment within a time limit.

Next, Shengze Town will continue to strengthen special law enforcement for the water environment, fight hard and fight hard, and resolutely fight the “defense of clear water” with iron will and iron discipline.
