This year, the output of silkworm cocoons in Wujiazhai Village reached 16,000 kilograms, with an output value of nearly 1 million yuan. At Tongjia Cocoon Station in Lezhi County, 46,000 kilograms of silkworm cocoons purchased from surrounding towns and villages have piled up in recent days, which is quite spectacular.
This year, due to the suitable weather and in-place technical guidance, the quality of Lezhi silkworm cocoons is the best in the past years. In addition, the market demand for silkworm cocoons and silk has increased significantly this year, and the price of cocoons has reached a record high.
