The national cotton quality and efficiency improvement on-site meeting was held in Weifang
On June 17, the National Cotton Quality and Efficiency Improvement On-site Meeting was held in Weifang City. Nine provinces including Hebei, Shandong, and Gansu exchanged speeches on the development of the cotton industry. Wang Dengqi, first-level inspector of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of Shandong Province, and Ma Qingmin, deputy mayor of Weifang City, delivered speeches respectively.
At the meeting, we observed and guided the Qingfu Agricultural Complex in Liutuan Town, Changyi City, which is a typical example of improving the quality and efficiency of cotton production in Weifang City. As one of the main cotton-producing areas in Shandong Province, Weifang has a long history of cotton cultivation. In order to speed up the pace of changing cotton production methods, adjusting structure and increasing efficiency, Weifang City regards green, high-quality and efficient creation as an important starting point for improving cotton quality and efficiencytransformation and upgrading. Integrate and promote the green, high-quality, efficient and standardized production technology model in all aspects, promote socialized services throughout the process, optimize the planting structure, and improve the organization level and production technology level of cotton farmers.
