Deputy Director Cheng Hao made the 2020 annual work report of the Energy Saving and Comprehensive Utilization Working Group of the China Textile Federation Standardization Committee. He pointed out that in the context of my country’s “3060 Goals” and the construction of Beautiful China, standards corresponding to the development of the times should be established and improved. System and implementation of the standard-leading strategy are important supports for consolidating the foundation of a strong textile country. In June 2018, under the guidance of the Standardization Technical Committee of the China Textile and Apparel Federation, the Energy Saving and Comprehensive Utilization Working Group of the China Textile Federation Standardization Committee was formally established. A large number of national standards related to clean production, pollution prevention and control, water and energy conservation, and green manufacturing , industry standards, and group standards have been formulated and released for implementation. Since 2016, the textile industry has researched and formulated 85 standards in the fields of energy conservation, comprehensive utilization and green manufacturing, including 15 national standards, 44 industry standards, and 26 group standards. At present, 40 standards have been compiled and released; 45 standards are under development.

He introduced that industry standardization work has achieved remarkable results, especially in green manufacturing. 11 companies including Wanshili Group have been awarded the honorary title of one hundred green design demonstration enterprises by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (128 in total), accounting for 8.6% of the total number of demonstration enterprises. . As of the end of 2020, 251 green design products, 91 green factories, and 10 green supply chain companies in the textile industry have been included in the list of green manufacturing system construction by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. Green manufacturing system integration projects such as “Digital green dyeing and finishing design of cheese yarn and construction of equipment innovation service platform”, “Construction of digital new color spinning green design platform”, “Construction of green design platform for cashmere products” have been accepted successively.

He emphasized that during the “14th Five-Year Plan” period, the standardization work of energy conservation and comprehensive utilization in the textile industry must be guided by Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, based on the overall situation of building a strong country with sustainable development of textiles and the construction of ecological civilization, and strengthening independent innovation and standardized management to help the green and high-quality development of the textile industry. He said that currently, the EU and China have established carbon footprint accounting standards and certification systems, and are supported by complete databases and tools. The carbon emission accounting system is the basis for all carbon neutral actions. In the next 40 years, carbon accounting + continuous improvement + information disclosure will become the core of carbon emission reduction work for enterprises and supply chains.
