Hengyang: The Xiangnan Textile Base is put into operation and the construction of the park is steadily advancing
In 2018, the Xiangnan Textile Industry Base was settled in Changning. In 2020, the Hengyang Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government identified the textile and clothing industry chain as one of the advantageous industrial chains to focus on cultivating. Policies have been intensified and the industry has been accelerated. After more than three years of construction, the “depression” effect of the Shonan Textile Base has gradually emerged. The first three companies have officially put into production, and the construction of the park has been steadily progressing as planned.
In the factory building of Hengyang Xuhua Garment Co., Ltd., workers are busy working. The washed fabric is cut into pieces, sewn, then thread-cut, ironed, nailed, and packaged. The pairs of jeans are rolled off the production line and shipped to customers. The hot production scene has enabled Xuhua Clothing to produce 180,000 to 200,000 pieces per month, which are basically foreign trade orders, and the production capacity utilization rate exceeds 80%.

Xuhua Garment is located in the first phase project of the apparel production park in the Shonan Textile Base. Three companies in the park have been put into operation, and three more companies are stepping up decoration and installation of equipment. The park provides standardized factory buildings for settled enterprises, which can meet all production processes except printing, dyeing and washing. Currently, a total of 32 companies plan to settle in the apparel production park, purchasing about 150,000 square meters of standard factory buildings. In the first phase, 260,000 square meters of factory buildings and shift rooms have been built, and will be fully delivered for use in the near future.

The base covers the entire industrial process of clothing production, washing, printing and dyeing, combined heat and power, sewage treatment, brand research and development, etc. It aims to build a complete industrial ecology and create a full industrial chain. At present, the environmental protection facility park, a key project of the base, has also been fully started.

During this year’s “Hong Kong Negotiation Week”, Hengyang City held a special investment promotion conference on the textile and apparel industry chain, attracting the signing of 31 key projects such as Jincheng Apparel and Hongyao Textile, with a total investment of 5.445 billion yuan. The base has obtained policy loans of 1.154 billion yuan and invested more than 2 billion yuan in construction.
