Last week (August 30-September 5), the Tangshan area of Hebei Province had mainly sunny and good weather, which is conducive to the current growth of cotton.

Since September 3, cotton in the Tangshan area has begun to shed cotton, which is about a week later than the same period last year. The cotton plants that are growing well are currently growing 2-3 flowers/plant, and the cotton plants that are growing generally are 1-2 flowers/plant. . It is understood that cotton picking has not started yet, and seed cotton picking is expected to start in about a week. The local scale opening is expected to be around mid-September, which is 7-10 days later than last year’s scale opening on September 5. According to the weather forecast, thunderstorms may occur locally this week (September 6-10), which may have a slight impact on cotton picking.
