Xinhe: Cotton has entered the tuxup period, and the development period is 3 days later than in previous years
At present, cotton in most cotton fields in Xinhe County has entered the period of blooming. The recent climatic conditions are more favorable to the growth and development of cotton. On September 20, the cotton in our cotton observation area entered the period of blooming, and the development period is slower than in previous years. 3 days late. The Tuxup period is the most critical period for determining yield. From the morning of September 20th to 21st, agricultural meteorological observation personnel from the Xinhe County Meteorological Bureau investigated and analyzed the growth, density, and height of cotton at the observation point, as well as the number and density of fruit branches in the field. The investigation found that due to the impact of heavy rainfall in the early stage, some cotton bud bolls fell off and became moldy. However, the fine weather in the later period was beneficial to cotton boll cracking and flocculation. Judging from the analysis results: the density of measuring points is 22.88 plants/㎡, and the height is 65cm. The number of fruit branches in the high-yield field was 13.3, and the number of fruit branches in the low-yield field was 10.7. The relative soil humidity is within the appropriate range of cotton soil moisture, and the cotton grows well.
Based on the investigation and analysis results, technical personnel promptly released the latest meteorological service information and production suggestions to agricultural units and growers, reminding them to strengthen cotton field management, apply more organic fertilizers and phosphorus and potassium fertilizers, moderate chemical control, and timely pruning and pruning Fork to improve ventilation and light transmittance of cotton fields to increase cotton quality and yield.
