These textile-related clothing brands are on the list of the top 500 Asian brands in 2021
The “Asia Brand Conference” hosted by World Brand Lab was held in Shanghai on September 23. The 2021 “Top 500 Asian Brands” rankings were released at the meeting. This year, six Chinese textile-related brands including Hengli, Shenghong and Ordos are on the list.
“Asia’s Top 500 Brands” has been published annually since 2006. This year is the 16th time that the World Brand Lab has evaluated the influence of Asian brands. A total of 500 brands from 19 countries and regions have been selected. For the first time, ESG (environmental, social and governance) scores have been included in the Asian brand evaluation system.
The evaluation criterion of “Top 500 Asian Brands” is the brand’s Asian influence. Brand influence refers to the brand’s ability to develop markets, occupy the market, and obtain profits. The basic indicators used by World Brand Lab to evaluate the influence of Asian brands include market share, brand loyalty and Asian leadership. For the first time, Asian Leadership refers to the ESG (environmental, social and governance) score of the authoritative analysis company Superfinance.
A total of 212 brands from China (including Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan) were selected, accounting for 42.4% of the top 500 Asian brands, ranking first. Among them, 166 brands from mainland China were included in the list; 134 brands from Japan were selected. Accounting for 26.8% of the top 500 Asian brands, ranking second; ranking third is South Korea, with 50 brands selected.
Faced with the economic stagnation caused by the new crown epidemic, all walks of life have been affected to varying degrees. In this year’s “Top 500 Asian Brands” rankings, a total of 41 brands from related industries including finance, media, information technology, food and beverages, electronic appliances, retail, automobiles and petrochemicals were selected. Among them, Chinese clothing brands that performed well include Ordos, Anta, etc.
