On the evening of October 15, on the eve of the 70th anniversary of Donghua University, the official event of Shanghai Fashion Week “2021 China Fashion Ceremony” was held at Shanghai Jing’an Sports Center. With its outstanding strength and contribution in the field of fashion design, the school was selected as the fashion institution’s annual achievement in the “2021 China Fashion Festival”. Our school graduates Jiang Yutong and Lei Liushu were selected as the annual fashion designers. Vice President Qiu Gao attended the event.

Jiang Yutong and Lei Liushu were undergraduates majoring in fashion design in our school in 2009. After graduation, they went to London College of Fashion for further study. The SHUSHU/TONG brand founded by these two post-90s designers boldly deconstructs and reorganizes traditional Chinese aesthetics and London street culture, integrating the sweet girlish heart with the independent attitude of modern women, creating a new design concept that is interesting and full of personality. It brings new choices to fashion lovers and is hailed as “the rising new generation of Chinese design” by authoritative foreign media.
As a university directly under the Ministry of Education, a national “211 Project”, and a national “Double First-Class” construction university, Donghua University enjoys a high social reputation in the fields of textiles, materials and design. The design discipline is one of the 18 first-class design disciplines in the country.
