Inner Mongolia carries out quality supervision and spot checks on textile and clothing products
Recently, we learned from the Inner Mongolia Market Supervision Bureau that the bureau continues to carry out special actions to supervise the quality of “clothing, food, housing and transportation” products. Recently, it has focused on the “clothing” field and targeted people Clothing products that the public is concerned about include formaldehyde content, decomposable carcinogenic aromatic amine dyes, pH value, color fastness to acid perspiration, color fastness to alkali perspiration, color fastness to water, fiber content and other key indicators related to product quality and safety. The Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Fiber Quality Monitoring Center is entrusted to carry out product quality sampling inspections, and urges enterprises to implement quality control management responsibilities so that the people can wear clothes with confidence.
A few days ago, the bureau announced the second batch of random inspections of clothing products in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region market. This sampling inspection involved 22 batches of children’s and infant clothing, 15 batches of knitted underwear, 12 batches of suits, 16 batches of casual clothing, 57 batches of wadding clothing, 34 batches of cashmere products, and camel hair products in the field of production and circulation. 6 batches of unqualified products were found, including 2 batches of knitted underwear, 4 batches of casual clothing, 2 batches of flake clothing, and 2 batches of cashmere products. The problem was all due to unqualified fiber content indicators.
It is reported that fiber content is an important parameter for product quality. At present, some small and medium-sized enterprises lack necessary quality management measures and inspection methods, which can easily cause the fiber content of their products to be unqualified; there are also a few companies that ignore regulations and standards and reduce production costs by increasing the content of low-priced chemical fibers, resulting in unqualified products.
The unqualified products found in this random inspection have been handed over to the market supervision department where the enterprise is located for handling according to law. At the same time, the Inner Mongolia Market Supervision Bureau provides quality diagnosis and analysis recommendations to companies that produce unqualified products, achieving “one company, one book, one policy” to help them find problems, formulate improvement measures, and improve the quality of textile and apparel products.
