Sun Ruizhe pointed out that as 2022 is rapidly approaching, we should bravely shoulder the responsibility of the times and move firmly towards the goal of building a textile and clothing community with a shared future. Secondly, pay attention to climate and sustainability – develop a low-carbon economy and respond to climate change. At China Textile Federation, we are committed to integrating the superior resources of entities such as governments, industry management departments, think tanks, scientific research institutions and technical institutions in the global industrial chain to assist textile enterprises Able to explore its own sustainable development path and contribute to the country’s carbon emission goals through research and development, technology and product innovation, and talent training. Third, focus on innovation – ensuring that technology development plays an important role in driving industry inclusiveness and long-term growth. Currently, new business formats characterized by networked manufacturing, mass customization and shared manufacturing are booming; mobile Internet technology, AI technology and other technologies are constantly innovating circulation business formats, shopping scenarios and service experiences. In China, the textile and clothing industry is becoming the most active industry in innovative models such as sociale-commerce and live-streaming e-commerce. Fourth, focus on trade and cooperation—the growth engines our industry has benefited from for decades. The textile sector is a practitioner and contributor to the international industrial chain and supply chain. The recent problems in the global supply chain are caused by both the objective reasons of the epidemic and human factors such as unilateralism and protectionism. We must adhere to the principle of inclusive governance, promote industrial interconnection, promote free trade, maintain the stability of industrial chains, and build an open world economy. Sun Ruizhe finally said that the International Textile Federation has become an important practice platform for multilateralism in the global textile industry and belongs to both its members and the world. He thanked the Board of Directors and the Secretariat for their hard work and contribution to the International Textile Federation over the past year. As Chairman, he will continue to do his best to help strengthen and develop the International Textile Federation and ensure that it continues to serve the textile industry around the world. At the meeting, Sun Ruizhe also communicated with participating members on the logistics and labor shortage issues faced by the industry, and shared the experience and practice of my country’s textile industry in improving productivity.

At the meeting, Xu Yingxin reported to the Board of Directors on behalf of the International Textile Federation Awards Committee: The application for the 2022 International Textile Federation Awards is about to start, and introduced the relevant work of the committee.
