Recently, Hu Weijiang, deputy secretary of the Taicang Municipal Party Committee and acting mayor of Suzhou, led the heads of the municipal government office, the Municipal Urban Management Bureau, the Taicang Ecological Environment Bureau and other departments to Taicang Hongyuan Textile Printing and Dyeing Co., Ltd. for inspection and supervision.

Hu Weijiang inspected the company’s production workshop on the spot, listened to the situation reports from the relevant person in charge of Shaxi Town and the person in charge of the company, and learned in detail about the company’s existing problems, rectification plans and implementation progress. He pointed out that environmental issues are very important people’s livelihood issues. Enterprises must strictly implement the main responsibility for environmental protection, actively rectify existing problems, and make rectifications without compromise. Relevant departments in various places must make every effort to improve the special rectification work of the printing and dyeing industryenvironmental protection and speed up the advancement of environmental rectification work. Various measures must be implemented with high standards and strict requirements, and those polluting enterprises with backward processes and inadequate rectification must be completely shut down; the implementation of regulatory responsibilities must be strengthened, focusing on key enterprises, and a strict supervision and management system must be effectively formed; law enforcement must be stepped up, Seriously deal with illegal enterprises and promote high-quality economic development in the city.

According to relevant regulations, Taicang Hongyuan Textile Printing and Dyeing Co., Ltd. will completely suspend production from December 1. Recently, the person in charge of the company submitted a voluntary shutdown application to Shaxi Town. The equipment and factory buildings are currently being evaluated, and rectification work such as the cleaning and disposal of sludge in the sewage collection tank is being progressed in an orderly manner.

In order to comprehensively improve the level of pollution prevention and control in the printing and dyeing industry, Taicang City will carry out special rectification work to improve the environmental protection of the printing and dyeing industry across the city this year, and promote the high-quality development of the printing and dyeing industry by “rectifying and improving some, and encouraging the closure of some”.
