On December 28, the Second China (Ganzhou) Textile and Garment Industry Expo held the International Summit Forum on Sustainable Development of China’s Denim Fashion Industry.
The theme of this summit forum is “Wear the most beautiful fashion and keep the green waters and green mountains.” The forum is co-sponsored by Wuhan Textile University, Yudu County People’s Government, and the Textile Industry Denim Clothing Advanced Manufacturing Key Laboratory, ChinaTextile IndustryFederation, ChinaCotton Textile Industry Association, and China Garment Association have given special support and invited experts from the national denim industry and some Representatives from denim clothing industry enterprises participated.

At the same time, focusing on the forms and countermeasures faced by the denim industry under the background of “double carbon”, the international development form and trends of the denim industry in the next ten years, and the highquality of the denim industry in the post-epidemic era Issues such as development models and paths, advanced technology for “waterless” manufacturing of denim products, and complete equipment research and development have put forward new requirements for denim product manufacturers to be committed to product innovation and technological innovation. In the tide of social development, we will continue to improve new capabilities, create new value, and inject industry strength into the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
Xu Weilin, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and president of Wuhan Textile University, delivered a congratulatory message to the summit forum via video. He emphasized that the green, environmentally friendly and healthy nature of denim clothing is very important for ecologically sustainable development. The denim industry is an important part of the textile and apparel industry. It plays an important role in promoting local economic development and solving populationemployment It has huge advantages and proposes new solutions for the key technologies of green manufacturing and clean production in the entire denim industry chain. After the opening ceremony, an academic forum was held, chaired by Professor Yi Changhai, Director of the Denim Engineering Technology Center of Wuhan Textile University.
