Spinning cotton into yarn generally goes through major processes such as blow cleaning, carding, drawing, roving, and spinning. Yarns and threads used for high-end products also require an additional combing process.

Blowroom–carding–pre-drawing–strip rolling–combing–first draw–second draw –Roving–Spinning yarn–Winding
Ring spinning (carding) process:
Blowroom–Carding–First drawing–Second drawing–Roving- -Spinning yarn–Winding
In terms of yarn structure, ring spinning is relatively compact, while open-end spinning is relatively fluffy and has a rough style, which is suitable for denim fabrics. Open-end spinning yarn is generally thicker.
