The working principle of Teflon flame retardant cloth finishing
Fabrics treated with Teflon can form a molecular barrier on the fiber surface. After being baked at high temperature, a thin film with very small surface tension can be formed. Due to its low surface energy, it can block the penetration of water, oil and dirt. By adhering and penetrating, flame-retardant cloth water and oil contaminants appear as droplets on the surface of the fabric and are easily removed, forming a better waterproof and anti-oil effect. At the same time, due to high-temperature baking during processing, the Teflon finishing agent is absorbed into the fiber. The film formed on the surface can be firmly combined with the fiber. At the same time, due to its water and oil repellency, water and oil cannot decompose this polymer, so Teflon-finished fabrics have good washing and dry cleaning fastness.
