Xinjiang Bachu: Cotton grows normally
Recently, reporters conducted interviews and surveys with some local cotton farmers on the growth of new cotton in Bachu, Xinjiang.
The survey results show that the area was less affected by weather in the early stage and had more favorable weather in the later stage, resulting in faster cotton growth. Local cotton farmers said that the current cotton plant height is generally about 70 centimeters, with 8-10 fruiting branches and 12-15 buds. Peach blossoms have been planted one after another, and the number of cotton peach blossoms is about 5. So far, the topping work of this cotton field has been completed, and there is not much difference compared with the same period last year. At present, cotton farmers mainly focus on field management work such as watering and fertilizing, preventing diseases and insect pests.
