Changzhou’s fabric and apparel companies have joined forces for the first time to stay warm
The textile industry is a traditional industry in Changzhou City. With the support of a number of policies and measures, starting from the fourth quarter of 2008, the textile industry in Changzhou City has gradually reversed the situation of continuous decline in operating conditions. Yan Gongyi, general manager of Changzhou Qiutianbao Garment Co., Ltd., said that the current development of Changzhou’s textile industry has five major benefits, namely, falling raw material prices, appreciation of the RMB, falling interest rates, the introduction of a revitalization plan for the textile industry, and an increase in the export tax rebate rate to 16 %. He believes that the situation in the textile industry is still very grim, but various benefits will help promote the overall development of the industry.
At present, the textile industry has not yet come out of the trough. This is an unavoidable reality. What kind of pragmatic way can local textile companies work together to keep warm?
On March 31, the Changzhou Textile Fabrics and Garment Enterprises Cooperation Fair was held at the Kunshan production base of Chenfeng Group. A total of 20 textile fabric companies and 20 apparel companies participated in the fair. This is an enterprise “point-to-point” docking activity organized by Changzhou Economic and Trade Commission. On the same day, Jiangsu Chenfeng Group Co., Ltd. and Changzhou Yueye Corduroy Co., Ltd., Changzhou Black Peony (Group) Co., Ltd. and Changzhou Aibei Clothing Co., Ltd., Changzhou Laosan Group and Changzhou Qiutianbao Clothing Co., Ltd. signed cooperation contracts.
“This is the first formal marriage between fabric companies and clothing companies in Changzhou. Through the integration of the local industrial chain, product upgrades can be achieved from fabric development, clothing service performance and end customer needs, and industry development can be promoted.” City The relevant person in charge of the Economic and Trade Commission said.
On the day of the event, the Municipal Economic and Trade Commission also organized enterprises to observe the China Chamber of Commerce for Textile Import and Export’s innovation capability training base built at Chenfeng Group’s Kunshan production base. The state allocated 12 million yuan for its construction. At present, the fabric display area on the second floor has been completed, and the garment display area on the first floor, the accessories display area on the third floor, the information center on the fourth floor, and the training base on the fifth floor are under construction. In the next step, the state will also invest in building a testing center here that is recognized by both domestic commodity inspection and foreign customers.
According to the relevant person in charge of the Municipal Economic and Trade Commission, there are currently 10 Changzhou textile fabric companies exhibiting at the base, including Changzhou Black Peony (Group) Co., Ltd., Changzhou Yueye Corduroy Co., Ltd., and Changzhou Dongxia Textile Printing and Dyeing Co., Ltd. , Changzhou Qiangsheng Textile Co., Ltd. signed a contract to become a long-term enterprise. In order to promote China’s textile industry to the international stage, there is no cost for companies to settle here.
“After the ready-to-wear display area on the first floor is completed, our company will choose to enter this platform as soon as possible.” Like Yan Gongyi, many business leaders have shown strong interest in this base.
