Textile and clothing orders are increasingly shifting from China to Vietnam
According to Vietnam’s “Youth Daily”, Vietnamese textile, clothing, footwear and leather bag companies continued to receive new export orders in 2011, and the number was increasing day by day. Their orders were mainly transferred from China to Vietnam. The chairman of the Vietnam Shoe Industry Association believes that the current production costs in China are relatively high. On the other hand, Vietnam’s labor efficiency has been greatly improved. The workers’ craftsmanship has certain advantages compared with Indonesia, India, Malaysia and Bangladesh. In addition, companies like Adidas Famous brands such as Nike and Nike are deploying production in various countries, so many brands are shifting production from China to other countries such as Vietnam. If Vietnamese companies can make full use of this opportunity and provide stable supply at the right price, this will be a development opportunity for Vietnamese companies.
