Vietnam’s imports of textiles from China are growing rapidly
According to Vietnam Customs statistics, Vietnam imported approximately US$12.27 billion of textile, shoemaking and leather raw materials and accessories in 2011, an increase of 24.7%. Among them, China imported the most, reaching US$3.96 billion, an increase of 26.4%; the second to fifth places were: South Korea (US$2.11 billion, an increase of 22%); Taiwan, China (US$2 billion, an increase of 16.6%); Japan (7.37 billion US dollars, an increase of 43.4%); the United States (US$733 million, an increase of 70.9%).
