Vietnam’s exports of textiles and footwear to China have grown significantly
According to Vietnam Customs statistics, Vietnam’s textile and footwear exports to China increased significantly in January 2012. Among them, Vietnam’s textile exports to China increased by 71.7% year-on-year, reaching US$14.3 million; during the same period, exports to the three major markets of the United States, the European Union, and Japan decreased by 12.3%, 21.2%, and 7.7% respectively.
Vietnam’s footwear exports to China increased by 72% year-on-year to US$28 million; during the same period, exports to the EU, the main market, fell by 12.6%.
