The U.S. CPSC implemented a voluntary recall of Chinese-made youth sportswear with pockets
On April 24, 2012, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and PUMA North America, Inc. jointly announced a voluntary recall of Chinese-made PUMAUSAV-Konstruct youth sportswear with pockets.
The product model numbers 65110201, 65110202, 65110203, 65110204, and 65110205 of the recalled PUMAUSAV-Konstruct youth sportswear with pockets are marked on the white warning label inside the clothing. “PVCFree” is marked on the right side of the product model and “PVCFree” is marked below. “ART.NO”. The recalled sportswear features short collars, zippers, 2 pockets, breathable mesh on the back and underarms, and elasticated drawstrings at the waist. “PUMA” is marked on the upper right side of the front and on the left sleeve. It is divided into three models: YS, YM and YL. The colors are divided into five colors: red/black, green/black, blue/black, navy blue/gray and black/grey. The sportswear was sold in the United States from January 2007 to January 2012, with a unit price of approximately US$12 to US$55 per piece.
The number of products recalled this time is approximately 5,000. The reason for the recall is that the drawstring at the waist of the sportswear may get caught when passing through a small space, posing a risk of children being trapped. As of now, PUMA North America, Inc. has not received any accident reports.
For this reason, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission recommends that consumers immediately wear the recalled sportswear and contact the retailer for a return and full refund.
