The notice requires that the 43 shortlisted innovative industrial clusters should focus on major national needs, focus on scientific and technological innovation and strive to improve industrial innovation capabilities. With the support of the Provincial Department of Science and Technology, the nonwovens industry cluster is recommended to apply for the Ministry of Science and Technology’s innovative industrial cluster to drive the innovative development of leading industries and improve the development capabilities of industrial clusters.
It is reported that after nearly 40 years of development, the nonwovens industry in Xiantao City has become the city’s first pillar industry. In 2020, Xiantao City launched the construction of “four bases and two centers” for nonwovens and vigorously promoted the upgrading of production capacity, structure and brand of the nonwovens industry. The total number of nonwovens industry cluster enterprises in the city reached 1,989, with more than 90,000 employees. , achieved operating income of 58.795 billion yuan, and paid taxes of 2.035 billion yuan.
