2021 China-ASEAN Silk Road E-Commerce Forum will be held in Nanning
The reporter learned from the Department of Commerce of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region that on September 10, the 2021 China-ASEAN Silk Road E-Commerce Forum will be held in Nanning.
This forum, with the theme of “E-commerce New Era Development and New Momentum”, is hosted by the People’s Government of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and organized by the Department of E-Commerce and Information Technology of the Ministry of Commerce and Guangxi Organized by the Department of Commerce of Zhuang Autonomous Region. At that time, well-known experts and scholars in the field of e-commerce in China and ASEAN, as well as heads of e-commerce companies, will gather together to provide exciting sharing on hot topics such as the new development of e-commerce in the post-epidemic era, digital transformation, live streaming e-commerce, and new business models.
In recent years, Guangxi has continuously carried out various e-commerce brand activities, innovated sales models through online and offline interactions, and promoted the rapid and stable growth of online retail transaction scale. From January to May this year, online retail sales in Guangxi were 26.23 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 42.2%. The growing new consumption has injected new vitality into Guangxi’s economy and shown its strong potential, becoming a key engine for the rapid recovery of Guangxi’s consumption.
According to the relevant person in charge of the Department of Commerce of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, since 2020, Guangxi has innovatively held a series of large-scale consumption promotion activities called the “Guangxi 33 Consumer Festival”, exerting the effect of “one festival drives hundreds of industries” and effectively driving the rapid recovery of consumption in Guangxi. So far, the “Guangxi 33 Consumer Festival” has been held for three seasons, with a total of 1.819 million merchants participating in the event, 330 million consumer coupons issued, 37 million participants, and a total transaction volume of 340.93 billion yuan.
