Except for a few cotton plants that have not yet spun out lint on their tops, the rest of the cotton plants have spun out lint. A local cotton farmer said that the cotton grown in the area is mainly machine-picked cotton. As of September 22, most cotton fields in the area have completed two defoliant spraying operations.
