Energy issues have always troubled all mankind, and have always stimulated people to use their infinite wisdom to invent and create. Recently, a British mobile communications company, with the help of the University of Southampton, completed the research and development of two new products: rechargeable shorts and sleeping bags, which can not only convert the kinetic energy and thermal energy generated by the human body into electrical energy through special fabrics, but also use fabrics to The “nodes” that can store electricity store excess electrical energy.

A solar backpack can also collect heat energy generated when the user moves and convert it into electrical energy. It is equipped with a large lithium battery that can store electricity during exercise and charge mobile phones, MP3 players and other electronic products.

PowerShorts are charging shorts made of polymer foam. When body movement causes the fabric of the shorts to squeeze, an electric charge is generated. Just plug your phone into the connection in your shorts pocket to charge. Tests have shown that walking in these shorts for one day is enough to power an ordinary mobile phone for four hours.

A similar invention announced at the same time was a sleeping bag called the RechargeSleepingBag. It converts thermal energy into electrical energy. The material used to make the sleeping bag contains a “hotspot module” that monitors temperature changes in the sleeping bag and converts thermal energy into electricity. An adult using the sleeping bag for one night can provide about 11 hours of power for a mobile phone.

As early as 2010, there was also a scientific research project to launch a rechargeable rain boots. The soles can convert the heat from the wearer’s feet into electrical energy. When a user walks for 12 hours wearing it, it can provide 1 hour of power for the mobile phone. In addition, four students from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Rice University in the United States have also designed a “power-generating shoe” that can collect and store the energy generated by people’s every step as electrical energy, which can also be used to charge mobile phones.
