Tianjin University of Technology holds an interdisciplinary forum on advanced fiber materials and cutting-edge textile technology
Recently, the Textile Future Technology Research Center of Tianjin University of Technology held an interdisciplinary forum on advanced fiber materials and cutting-edge textile technology with the theme of “cross-integration and joint creation of first-class”. Chen Li, executive vice president and director of the Textile Future Technology Research Center, and Liu Yi, vice president, attended the forum and delivered speeches. Nearly a hundred teachers and students from the School of Textile Science and Engineering, School of Materials Science and Engineering, and School of Chemical Engineering and Technology attended the forum.
Executive Vice President Chen Li delivered an opening speech. She pointed out that since its establishment, the Textile Future Technology Research Center has focused on the development frontiers of textile disciplines and promoted the intersection and integration of disciplines. Advanced fiber materials and modern textile technology are one of the six key development directions of this discipline. The research content covers multi-disciplinary knowledge such as textiles, materials, machinery, chemical engineering, and environment. This academic forum aims to promote collaborative cooperation among various disciplines, stimulate endogenous development momentum, and cultivate highquality scientific and technological leaderstalent, high-standard creation of a university scientific platform, high-level output of disruptive innovative technologies, and high-efficiency transformation of forward-looking scientific research results play an important role in promoting.
During the forum report session, 9 people including Professor Zhang Yongjun, the person in charge of advanced fiber materials and cutting-edge textile technology, Professor Zhang Xingxiang, deputy director of the Department of Engineering and School of Materials Science and Engineering of Tianjin University of Technology, Professor Liu Yong, executive deputy dean of the School of Textile Science and Engineering, etc. Experts and scholars gave keynote reports. The report covers key research areas of advanced fiber materials and cutting-edge textile technology, batch preparation and modification of high-performance fibers, nanofiber structure design evolution and application, basic theory of nanomaterial modification andnew materials Applications, bionic surface design technology and applications, etc., fully demonstrate the future and development trends of advanced fibers and cutting-edge textile technology.
