Dandong City, Liaoning Province has a bumper harvest in tussah silkworm production
Recently, according to the tussah production statistics of the agricultural department of Dandong City, Liaoning Province, a total of 2 million acres of tussah silkworms were stocked in Dandong City this year. The total output of tussah cocoons is expected to be 18,900 tons, an increase of 8,000 tons over last year, and the cocoon output value is 785 million. In the hands of the people, the silkworm farmers are guided to prevent spring silkworms from low temperature and frost disasters and to prevent and control tussah diseases and insect pests, so as to increase the cocoon production. The third is to strengthen the prevention and control of major diseases and insect pests of tussah silkworms, and guide various regions to successively carry out the prevention and control of diseases and pests such as tussah parasitoid flies and carabid pests, ensuring an increase in tussah silkworm production and income.
