Recently, the Enterprise Federation of the three provinces and one city in the Yangtze River Delta jointly released the 2021 Yangtze River Delta Top 100 Enterprises Ranking, with 12 textile-related companies on the list.
According to the organizer, the operating performance of the top 100 enterprises in the Yangtze River Delta in 2021 mainly presents the following characteristics: First, both operating income and net profit achieved positive growth. Second, the manufacturing and service industries have maintained growth, and emerging industries have become important driving forces. Third, the business performance of the top 100 private enterprises has grown rapidly and their development vitality is strong. Fourth, the growth rate of industry operating performance is obviously differentiated. Fifth, leading enterprises have obvious pulling power.
Companies involved in the textile industry performed very well on the list, with 12 companies shortlisted for the top 100, including: Hengli Group, Zhejiang Rongsheng, Zhejiang Hengyi, Shenghong Holdings, Chuanhua Group, Heilan Group, Youngor Group, Jiangsu Yueda, Oriental International, Hongdou Group, Tongkun Holdings, Sanfangxiang Group.
The organizer stated that since the outbreak of the COVID-19 epidemic in 2020, the market demand pattern has undergone major changes, which has profoundly affected the development trajectories of various industries, and the industry growth rates have clearly differentiated. Among them, the growth rate of industries such as Internet services and chemical fiber increased, while the growth rate of air transportation, tourism and other industries declined significantly.
The list shows that the overall performance of the chemical fiber industry is outstanding, with operating income of 1,606.27 billion yuan in 2020, an increase of 27.20%, and net profit of 49.03 billion yuan, an increase of 32.03%. Hengli Group Co., Ltd. ranked 3rd, up 1 place from last year; Zhejiang Rongsheng Holding Group Co., Ltd. ranked 15th, up 5 places; Zhejiang Hengyi Group Co., Ltd. ranked 18th, up 1 place; Shenghong Holding Group Co., Ltd. Ltd. ranked 19th, rising 4 places.
Data show that the operating income of the top 100 enterprises in the Yangtze River Delta set a new record in 2020, reaching 17 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 1.3 trillion yuan, with a growth rate of 8.28%. The average operating income of each company reached 169.89 billion yuan, and there were 57 “100-billion club companies”. 23 companies were among the world’s top 500, 2 more than the previous year.
In terms of the number of top 100 companies on the list, Zhejiang has the largest number, reaching 36, one more than the previous year; Shanghai follows, with 32, two more than the previous year; Jiangsu has 23, one less than the previous year. 3 companies; 9 companies in Anhui, the same as the previous year.
In terms of total operating income, Shanghai has the highest revenue, reaching 6,774.09 billion yuan, while Zhejiang, Jiangsu, and Anhui have 5,210.98 billion yuan, 3,923.77 billion yuan, and 1,079.67 billion yuan respectively. The average revenue of the companies on the list in Shanghai is approximately 211.69 billion yuan, which is significantly higher than the companies on the list in Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Anhui.
In addition, there are 58 private enterprises among the top 100 enterprises in the Yangtze River Delta. Their total operating income in 2020 was 9.05078 billion yuan, with a growth rate of 11.76%. The development of the private economy in the Yangtze River Delta continues to maintain strong vitality.
