Suzhou City randomly inspected 70 batches of silk quilt products, with a pass rate of 97.1%

On November 30, 2021, the Suzhou Municipal Administration for Market Regulation issued an announcement on the municipal supervision and spot inspection of silk quilt products in 2021 (Issue 76) ).

According to the announcement, in the third quarter of 2021, the Suzhou Municipal Administration for Market Regulation commissioned the Suzhou Fiber Inspection Institute to conduct municipal supervision and spot inspections on the quality of silk quilt products. A total of 70 batches were sampled this time, including 29 batches from production companies, 33 batches from physical stores, and 8 batches from e-commerce platforms. After inspection, 68 batches were qualified, with a pass rate of 97.1%. The main problems were unqualified fiber content and filler quality deviation rate.

The main basis for this silk quilt product quality supervision and spot inspection is GB18401-2010 “National Basic Safety Technical Specifications for Textile Products”, GB/T29862-2013 “Identification of Fiber Content of Textiles”, GB/T24252-2009 “Silk Quilts” “, GB/T24252-2019 “Silk Quilt” (implementation date is May 1, 2020). The inspection items are: 1. Formaldehyde content; 2. pH value; 3. Decomposable carcinogenic aromatic amine dyes; 4. Color fastness to water; 5. Color fastness to dry rubbing; 6. Color fastness to soaping; 7. Fiber content; 8. Filling quality; 9. Filling oil content; 10. Filling quality deviation rate; 11. Filling moisture regain rate; 12. Residual glue rate; 13. Identification of silk cotton weight gain (content of four main amino acids ).
