Guangxi Modern Sericulture and Silk Industry College was established in Yizhou, Hechi

On December 4, 2021, the 70th anniversary celebration of Guangxi Hechi College and the unveiling ceremony of “Guangxi Modern SericultureSilk Industry College” were held in Yizhou District, Hechi Wei Wei, deputy director of the Guangxi Sericulture Technology Promotion Station and chief expert of the Guangxi Sericulture Industry Innovation Team, led a team of four people to attend the unveiling.

The establishment of Guangxi Modern Sericulture and Silk Industry College will solve the problem of talent shortage faced by Guangxi’s sericulture industry and provide a steady stream of reserve force for the sustainable development of Guangxi’s sericulture industry. Also present at the event were Wei Anguang, Secretary of the Party Committee of Hechi College, Miao Jian, President, as well as leaders, experts, company representatives and related staff at all levels in the industry. After the unveiling ceremony, a discussion was held on the development of the mulberry cocoon silk industry and the new situation it is currently facing.
