Nanzhang, Hubei: Giving cultural wings to sericulture
Chusangsi Expo AAA-level scenic spot is located in the Economic Development Zone of Nanzhang County, Hubei Province. It is China’s first characteristic industrial tourist attraction with the theme of “Chusang Culture” and the first in Hubei ProvinceSilkIndustrial tourism project and silkworm cultural tourism destination.
Relying on Nanzhang County’s long history and cultural tradition of silkworms, featuring Chusang culture, and with the Chusang Cultural Industry Sightseeing Experience Park as its core, it has built a silkworm cultural garden, Chu State Silkworm and Silk Museum, and Silkworm and Silk Industrial Production Zone.
In recent years, this project has also led to the construction of a number of intensive and large-scale sericulture demonstration bases such as Jinxiangping Village, Xunxuan Town, Nanzhang County, and Zhangtiegou Village, Xueping Town, totaling 5,200 acres. It also supports large sericulture households and cooperatives to build 1,800 acres of sericulture demonstration bases. Through the establishment of an industrial assistance linkage mechanism, it will help the development of the sericulture industry in demonstration villages and help sericulture farmers increase their income and become rich.
