According to a report by Bangladesh’s “Daily Star” on March 27, in response to the international community’s concern about labor rights in the Bangladesh textile industry, the Bangladesh Textile Industry Producers and Exporters Association began to build the Bangladesh Textile Industry in 2012. The database was originally planned to be completed in 2-3 years, but after nearly 5 years, the accurate number of textile enterprises and workers has not yet been calculated. Rahman, chairman of the association, said that the association will restart the database construction process and will put further pressure on textile companies to complete the database construction work as soon as possible.
