According to Myanmar’s “Global New Light” report on July 2: U Min Soe, chairman of the Myanmar Garment Production Association, said that about 80-100 companies hope to invest in Myanmar’s garment production field this year. According to reports, a record 60 companies invested in Myanmar’s garment production field in 2015, of which the number of foreign direct investments was higher than domestic investment. At present, Myanmar’s clothing production still mainly relies on imported raw materials, and most clothing companies are engaged in clothing cutting and finished product packaging.
