According to customs statistics, my country’s exports of textiles and clothing in August 2016 were approximately US$27.933 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 3.1% and a month-on-month increase of 10.08%. Among them, exports of textile yarns, fabrics and products were US$10.246 billion, a year-on-year increase of 5.19%, and a month-on-month increase of 12.28%; exports of clothing and clothing accessories were US$17.686 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 7.34%, and a month-on-month increase of 8.85%.
From January to August 2016, my country’s total exports of textiles and apparel amounted to US$178.337 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 3.33%. Among them, exports of textiles were US$71.815 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 0.51%; exports of clothing were US$106.522 billion, a decrease of 5.15% year-on-year.
