Czech textile and clothing industry sales continue to climb in the first half
According to a report by Czech News Agency on August 28, the sales of the Czech textile and clothing industry in the first half of the year increased by 5% year-on-year, reaching 28.1 billion crowns (approximately 1.17 billion U.S. dollars). According to the Czech Textile, Garment and Leather Industry Association (ATOK), due to the European economic recovery, the Czech textile and clothing industry has continued to pick up since 2010. At present, the number of employees in the textile industry has reached 22,200, and the number of employees in the garment industry has reached 11,300. With qualified workers in short supply, companies are recruiting from overseas.
