India made the final ruling on its first anti-dumping review of narrow woven fabrics from China and Taiwan

On September 22, 2016, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of India issued an announcement stating that it had made the second anti-dumping sunset review final ruling on narrow woven fabrics originating in or imported from China and Taiwan:

1. It is ruled that if the anti-dumping duties on narrow woven fabrics from China are cancelled, the dumping of the products involved and the damage to the Indian industry will continue or occur again. Therefore, the products involved in the case originating in or imported from China will continue to be levied for a period of 5 years. Anti-dumping duty of US$1.87/kg.

2. It is ruled that during the investigation period, there is no dumping behavior on narrow woven fabrics imported from Taiwan. If the anti-dumping duties in Taiwan are cancelled, the damage to the Indian industry caused by the export of the products involved in the case from Taiwan will reoccur without a clear factual basis. Therefore, The final ruling ruled that anti-dumping duties will no longer be imposed on the products involved in the case from Taiwan.

On June 9, 2004, the Indian Ministry of Commerce and Industry launched an anti-dumping investigation into narrow woven fabrics originating in or imported from China and Taiwan. India announced its preliminary anti-dumping rulings on the case on January 10, 2005 and June 7, 2005 respectively. In the preliminary and final anti-dumping rulings, the final ruling ruled that the respective levy amounts for the products involved in the case from China and Taiwan were the minimum price and For anti-dumping duties on the difference in CIF price, the minimum price of the products involved in the case in China is US$8.02/kg, and the minimum price of the products involved in the Taiwan region is US$7.61/kg. On August 20, 2009, India launched a sunset review investigation into narrow woven fabrics from China and Taiwan. On August 19, 2010, India announced the final results of the sunset review: anti-dumping duties of US$2.87/kg and US$1.75/kg respectively were applicable to the products involved originating in or imported from China and Taiwan. On October 1, 2015, at the request of Ishi Industries Limited, India launched the second anti-dumping sunset review investigation on the products involved in China and Taiwan and subsequently extended the validity period of the anti-dumping tax order on the products involved until October 5, 2016. The dumping investigation period for this sunset review is from April 2014 to March 2015, and the damage investigation period is from 2011 to March 2015.
