Among the remaining top ten import source countries, except for my country’s import volume from the United States and Malaysia, which increased by 0.1% and 22.7% respectively, Indonesia, Uzbekistan and South Korea decreased by 9.1%, 24.3% and 32.3% respectively.

3. Cotton yarn imports in Shanghai and Hunan increased from January to October.

From January to October, the import volume of cotton yarn in 10 major provinces and cities exceeded 20,000 tons. Among them, Shanghai’s imports increased by 1.4 percentage points compared with the same period last year, ranking third among importing provinces and cities. Hunan’s imports increased significantly, importing 27,000 tons, an increase of 39.1%, ranking ninth among importing provinces and cities. Shandong, a major cotton spinning province, dropped by 2.4%. It mainly imported Indian yarn and Pakistani yarn, with an import volume of 224,000 tons, ranking fourth among importing provinces and cities. Guangdong imported 434,000 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 20.7%, ranking first; Zhejiang imported 275,000 tons, ranking second, a year-on-year decrease of 20.8%. Anhui fell by 19.3%, and Jiangsu, Fujian, and Beijing fell by 30.6%, 27.5%, and 58.7% respectively.

The trade mode is mainly general trade, accounting for 78.6% of the total cotton yarn imports, which is 1.252 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 17.9%; processing trade is supplemented, accounting for 18.4%, and the import volume is 294,000 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 17.9%. dropped by 31%, of which 277,000 tons were processed with imported materials.
