Canada implements voluntary recall of Chinese-made children’s jumpsuits
On December 30, 2016, Health Canada and PeekabooBeans Inc. jointly announced a voluntary recall of children’s jumpsuits made in China.
The products recalled this time are the 2016 winter and spring premium Bean series children’s jumpsuits, available in black, silver, cherry, purple and blue. Product specific information is as follows,
2,457 units of the recalled products were sold in Canada from January 28, 2016 to November 21, 2016. The reason for the recall is that the zipper pull tab may fall off, posing a choking hazard to children.
As of November 21, 2016, the company had received five reports from Canada of zipper pull tabs falling off, and no reports of personal injuries had been received.
Health Canada advises consumers to immediately stop using the recalled products and return them to PeekabooBeans for a full refund. Complete the return form available on the PeekabooBeanswebsite and mail it along with the jumpsuit to the following address: BeanPlaysuitRecall, 610-13211DelfPlaceRichmond,BritishColumbiaV6V2A2.
