Zimbabwe’s cotton output is expected to reach 10,000 tons
According to a report by Zimbabwe’s “Herald” on January 19, under the government’s US$42 million investment plan, the Zimbabwe Cotton Industry Company expects to purchase 110,000 tons of cotton from farmers this year. The decline in cotton production in previous years was mainly due to high production costs. This year’s abundant rain is expected to bring higher production. Zimbabwe’s cotton production in 2017 is expected to reach 110,000 tons
