Li Zheng: Countermeasures and suggestions for the development of Suzhou silk industry
In order to promote the high quality development of the sericulturesilk industry, meet the people’s needs for a better life, and boost rural areas Revitalization and poverty alleviation. According to the “Action Plan for the High-Quality Development of the Sericulture Silk Industry (2021-2025)” (Ministry of Industry and Information Technology [2020] No. 151) and the development status of Suzhou’s silk industry, Suzhou’s silk technology is relatively backward and professional<font color="#FF8040" We put forward countermeasures and suggestions for situations such as insufficient talent, lagging brand channel construction, and instability in the development of some enterprises caused by the epidemic.
1. Current problems in Suzhou silk industry
1. The level of silk technology lags behind, and the level of industrialization needs to be improved urgently. At present, Suzhou’s printing and dyeing processing capacity is relatively weak compared to its weaving capacity, finishing supporting technology is relatively insufficient, and textile machinery equipment needs to be upgraded. Although the Wujiang area has formed a silk textile enterprise cluster, the overall industrial level is at the low end of the industrial chain and lacks independent innovation capabilities. Compared with Hangzhou, Suzhou has a large gap in the number of silk production enterprises, silk printing engineering and key technology research, digital weaving technology, intangible cultural heritage innovation and industrialization, silk design and production digitization, market output value, etc., and in terms of fineness There are obvious deficiencies in chemical equipment. There are few silk technology development institutions such as silk enterprise technology centers, enterprise research institutes, and design institutes at the provincial level and above. It failed to exert industrial radiation and upstream and downstream driving effects from the ecological chain.
2. Brand development lacks innovation, and government planning and support need to be strengthened. With the changes in the consumer market and consumption concepts, the development of Suzhou silk brands is currently limited. Suzhou silk cultural heritage, product quality, category development, brand reputation, etc. need to be improved. The brand has not developed the huge potential of domestic and foreign markets. It lacks a systematic brand building plan and has not developed from concept, technology, design, marketing model, service, etc. Form a brand effect based on core competitiveness. Silk products are still mainly primary products such as factory silk and blanks, with low added value and meager profits. In terms of brand operation, there is a lack of business platform expansion and network construction, and it is unable to complete effective connection and cooperation with professional and mature sales networks at home and abroad.
3. Lack of human resources and insufficient inheritance of silk skills. The survey found that most of the people engaged in the silk cultural industry in Suzhou are weaving technicians and lack professional designers and technical researchers. They have weak innovation capabilities in the cultural expression of silk, product design and high-tech development, which limits the development of the silk industry to a certain extent. In terms of inheritors, the current silk-related intangible heritage inheritors Qian Xiaoping, Wang Jinshan, Wang Jialiang, Zhou Jiaming, etc. are all veteran artists in their 80s. Although they have also cultivated a group of young technicians or inheritors, the overall inheritance team Aging is serious. Suzhou silk industry needs to inject more young blood to enhance the driving force for development.
4. Fake and shoddy silk products are rampant, and industry standardization needs to be strengthened. In recent years, due to the rise in silk prices, some companies, driven by profits, have used tussah silk as mulberry silk, artificial fiber as natural silk, and deliberately confused fiber ratios, etc., which has formed a vicious competition situation in various places. The Suzhou cocoon purchasing market is still in chaos, and its unstable factors threaten the profits of silkworm farmers at all times. There are still a large number of “three noes” silk products in the silk end product market. It caused serious misunderstandings among consumers, violated their legitimate rights and interests, and seriously affected the brand image of Suzhou Silk.
2. Countermeasures and suggestions for the development of Suzhou silk industry
1. Enhance silk innovation capabilities with technological core. One is to learn advanced silk technology. The government and relevant departments can set up special funds to encourage enterprises to innovate in technology, transform loom equipment, etc., and introduce advanced foreign looms, circular knitting machines, digital inkjet printing and dyeing and other equipment. For example, we can learn from the Italian silk town of Como, whose digital printing factory Palestro digitale is engaged in high-end textile printing. The Mouvent digital printing machine used has high precision and fast speed, and can handle a series of procedures such as luxury brand silk product design. It has won survival and profit margins with its high-tech high-quality digital printing technology. It is recommended to promote the comprehensive development of the cocoon and silk industry, expand the development of new technologies such as food, medical supplies, silk textiles, and cosmetics using cocoon and silk as raw materials, and reduce and standardize various administrative intervention behaviors, and provide interest subsidies or special support to actively attract domestic and foreign Silk companies settled in Suzhou. The second is to accelerate the cultivation of leading technology enterprises. The government can implement reasonable policies based on the development of silk enterprises, implement a production permit system, and reorganize small, poor, and unqualified silk enterprises. Provide policy protection or support to large and medium-sized enterprises with advanced technology and equipment, large production scale, and good production efficiency. Support leading silk companies to establish silk raw material bases that match their processing capabilities, encourage leading silk companies to increase investment in research and development, and support leading silk companies to establish large-scale enterprise groups through independent research and development or mergers, reorganizations, acquisitions, holdings, etc., to promote technological innovation. The third is to form an economic cooperation alliance.Guide sericulture and silk enterprises to make good use of various national policies and measures, promptly reflect industry trends and enterprise demands, and propose suggestions for improving policy measures to promote the coordinated development of the entire industry chain.
